Courtney Johnson Rose is the Chief Executive Officer of George E. Johnson Development Inc., which is a full-service real estate firm specializing in development services, owner representation, master planning, residential and commercial brokerage services.
Courtney obtained her undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned her Master’s in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University, where she is currently an adjunct professor overseeing the real estate certification program.
Courtney was featured in the Houston Business Journal Inaugural Class as one of their Top 40 under 40 Business Leaders and selected by Prairie View A&M University as part of their 40 under 40 Alumni Inaugural Class. Courtney has been blessed to be featured on the covers of Realtor Magazine, Empower Magazine, Houston Realtor and Real Estate Executive chronicling her success in real estate.
In 2013, she created and hosted an informative real estate show entitled Real Estate Today that appeared on Comcast.
Courtney was recently appointed by the Texas Governor to the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation. Courtney also serves on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Real Estate Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership, the Board of the Houston Land Bank and was appointed as a Commissioner for her city’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Courtney serves as First Vice President of the National of Association of Real Estate Brokers and is the current Chair of the Board for the Texas Association of African American Chambers. Courtney has been married 16 years and they have been blessed with two children.
