Courtney
Johnson Rose entered the real estate business in the year 2000. Armed
with a vision, determination and a foundation of faith, she was
resolute to stand out from Houston’s crowded market. Since then, her
hard work has paid off and she is a rising star in the real estate
industry.
When she was 28 years old, Courtney Johnson
Rose was selected by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the
REALTOR® Magazine as one of their "30 under 30". This award features
top Realtors across the United States who have maintained the status of
being on top in the real estate industry before hitting their prime.
She was also awarded “Realtist of the Year and Salesperson of the Year
by the Houston Real Estate Association. Courtney has been honored by
Rolling Out Magazine as one of Houston’s Top 25 Most Influential Women
in Houston for 2007 and she was featured on the January 2008 cover of
Real Estate Executive Magazine. In addition, she has recently been
named “40 under 40” for 2009 for the Houston Business Journal
highlighting young leaders in Houston. Nationally, Courtney serves as
the Liaison for Diversity and Housing for the National Association of

Realtors. In Texas, she served as the chair of Texas Association of
Realtors Young Realtor Council and has served locally as a Chair of
the Houston Association of Realtors – NRG/Young Realtors Advisory
Group and on the Houston Association of Realtors Board of Directors.

Courtney’s knowledge and passion for real
estate is not at all surprising. Her father George Johnson, an
African-American developer, started his company George E. Johnson
Development Inc. in 1974. The company has since managed more than $1
billion in commercial real estate projects. Courtney obtained her
Bachelors degree in Business and Economics from the University of Texas
at Austin and earned her Masters in Community Development from Prairie
View A&M University, where she currently is also an adjunct
professor of real estate. Courtney is a member of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc. and an active member of the National Association of Real
Estate Brokers (NAREB – one of the oldest African American trade
organizations in the country), where she serves as President for her
local chapter, HREA. Active in the community as well, Courtney is on
the board of the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce and is the
founder of the Agnes B. Johnson Scholarship given in the remembrance of
her late mother.
Courtney attributes her success to
the love and support of her husband, Teeba Rose, her family’s drive and
strong spirit of being an entrepreneur and most importantly her faith
in God. She and her husband, Teeba, reside in Houston, Texas and have
one son, Carter.
